Do you have any relationships with the athletic dept at U of louisville?  If you think of what peyton manning has done for st vincent's children's hospital in Indy, some of the hoop or football players from louisville who play here might be able to be an advocate for you and for maryhurst.

Mary cahill is brian brohm's cousin.  I could ask her to have him check you out on line and then visit you in person if you want.  I don't know if she would be up for it or not, but its probably worth a try.

You and maryhurst should have a mechanism to remind people to support you in their wills after they are gone.  I'm not sure how to do this in a non-macabre way, but it will be key until you develop a group of younger supporters.

The Mcconnel center scholars program has up and coming students being groomed for leadership positions in govt at UL. They would be an ideal group to get involved with NH. They could have a lifetime of involvement with you.

Also, bulldogs in the bluegrass: a yale program that sends kids here for internships in the summer. similar group!

Retiring or dying politicians; Living ones too - Yarmuth

Hey,

I seem to remember that when a politician dies or retires, they sometimes have a big war chest of $ left over.

Recently, a african american lady from IN died in office. Anne Northrup got beat and may have some money laying around somewhere too and a desire to help the community out.

Have you ever met with Anne or with John Yarmuth. Lindsay said Northrup was very helpful getting funding legislation included for immigrant programs....does Yarmuth or his staff know anything about NH?

Get a presence in clubs at grade, middle and highschools to help get an emotional connection with the leaders of tomorrow.

We could host a louisville ballet program in the gym to get people to see the facility. The louisville ballet new choreographers workshop would be ideal.

I don't know if you could charge for it, but maybe just the exposure to wealthy art types would be good.
